The Saab 9-3, roomy and fun to drive, is a solid car among entry-level luxury cars. Although, the interior is not as highly refined as of its German and Japanese competitors.
The 9-3 is Saab’s midsize sport sedan and convertible and SportCombi wagon. The 9-3 is a sporty, capable, and enjoyable vehicle. It is available with two turbocharged engines. Handling is significantly improved with quick, direct steering and confident body control. Braking performance is exceptionally good. The front seats are well-sculpted.
The rear seat is tight and the ride is stiff. A lot of road rumble detract from comfort. Reliability has dropped to well below the average level.
| | | Saab 9-3 Strengths Mod cockpit details, the back seat is comfy and easy accessed, handles well, powerful engines, generous passenger room, class-leading trunk space, confident brakes.
| |
| | Saab 9-3 Weaknesses Sloppy shifter, turbo lag, interiors lack upscale look and feel: a sea of tiny buttons on the dash; ride is harsh over bumps, weak stereos, noisy ride. |
