The Oldsmobile Aurora (MSRP $30,130 - $34,485) is a front-wheel drive, five-passenger near-luxury sedan.
The Aurora comes with several big V8 optional engines, but frankly the V6 is good enough for this car, no need to spend more money if you are not a racing kind of person. The ride and handling are relatively comfortable and well-balanced. Performance (especially delivered by the V8s) is dynamically competent. However, it's baffling that a car with an almost 35 grands sticker doesn't come with a full-size spare.
