The Mercedes-Benz E Class is one of few cars that can downgrade the BMW 5 Series. All-round, the Mercedes-Benz is the more complete thanks to its discreet styling, comfortable cabin and excellent standard equipment. It is entertaining to drive (not quite as much fun as the BMW though).
The ride is firm, and the steering holds the car securely on course. The basic chassis calibrations are sound. It's also dynamically stable, fast, comfortable, and safe.
A meld of driving dynamics, safety and luxury features and high style make the Mercedes-Benz E-Class one of the favorites with mature customers, although it costs more than its rival.
