The Infiniti FX-Series (FX35 & FX45) models offer carlike handling and all-weather. The FXs drive more like a sports sedan than an SUV. The V8 engine is really quick; the five-speed automatic is excellent. Handling is nimble and remains stable and secure at its limits. The stiff ride transmits bumps and pavement cracks. The cabin feels cozy, because of the high doorsills and low roof. Rear visibility is poor. Cargo volume is not better than average. The blatant exhaust note can be annoying. Overall, it’s a stylish melding of form and function. |

Infiniti FX-Series Strengths Handles like a sport sedan, quick steering, flat cornering, standout styling, roomy interior, long list of standard features, strong engines. |

Infiniti FX-Series Weaknesses Small cargo room, large blind spots, no third-row seat available, poor rear visibility. |
