The Ford Freestar is available in three trim levels -- SE, SEL and Limited. The Freestar is a front-wheel-drive minivan.
The 2006 Ford Freestar has all the right safety features, but is outclassed in just about every other area, from performance to interior design. It features a flat-folding third-row seat. The two V6 engines are noisy and road noise is pronounced. Handling is responsive, but the ride is unsettled. Fit and finish is unimpressive. Better minivans, for less money, can be found elsewhere.

Ford Freestar Strengths Good-looking new dash, plenty of safety features, comfy driving position, upscale looks inside and out,low beltline, roomy interior, easy access, offset crash test.

Ford Freestar Weaknesses Unrefined powertrains, noisy engine, weak on cargo and people hauling, low-grade interior materials, burdensome turning circle, annoying backup warning system, hard-to-remove second-row seats, navigation system is not available, low trade value. |
