The Chevrolet Tahoe is a 9 passenger full-sized SUV with an impressive trailer-towing capability and an absorbent ride. Handling is blurred, the steering is amorphic, and the brakes are neither good nor bad. Electronic stability control is standard on all models.
The Chevy Tahoe is available in three trim levels: base LS (4.8-liter V8, 285 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque), off-road-oriented Z71 (5.3-liter V8, 295 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque) and upscale LT (5.3-liter V8, 295 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque). An impressive towing capability tops up 7,700 pounds.
The Tahoe delivers a stable, smooth ride, while the steering is light enough for confident maneuvering. | | | Chevrolet Tahoe Strengths Comfortable and roomy interior, smooth ride, strong engines, good snow job, standard stability control, wide list of amenities.
| |
| | Chevrolet Tahoe Weaknesses Dashboard design and quality, casual steering, fuel economy, brakes. |
