The Cadillac SRX is a midsize luxury crossover SUV intending to add a new level of performance and flexibility in this segment. The SRX is offered with two engine options: the 320 horsepower of the 4.6-liter V-8 (0 to 60 in 6.7 seconds), and the standard 3.6-liter V-6. The towing capacity has been increased to 4250 pounds. Interior space is the category in which the SRX could easily defeat its competitors. The Caddy offers an optional third row of seats. Handling is superb.

Cadillac SRX Strengths Bargain price, very cool design, potent engine lineup, long wheelbase, excellent ride and interior roominess, optional third-row seat, offset crash test results.

Cadillac SRX Weaknesses High doorsills, poorer fit and finish than in the competitors, some unintuitive controls, mediocre fuel mileage, small third-row seat, seat-mounted shoulder belts. |
